Bampton Shop offers a good selection of tinned goods and staples, snacks, confectionery and crisps, and more. We pride ourselves on stocking local produce and goods, and the chiller cabinet has milk from North Lakes Foods; butter from Wintertarn Dairy; free range eggs from Lakes Egg Company; bacon, sausages, meat and pies from Low Howgill Butchers at Appleby; and a selection of cheeses from Appleby Creamery.

Our off-licence is now also open, and we are very pleased to be offering  beers from four local breweries:  Appleby Bewery, Eden Brewery, Windermere Brewing Co and Hawkshead, plus some lovely wines from local fruit winery High Cup Nick. In the freezer you'll find vegetables, chips, bread, pies and more – and in the ice cream freezer we've a variety of flavours from the English Lakes Ice Cream Company.

We also have cards by local artist Christine Longmire, who lives in the nearby village of Rosgill, postcards and notelets with local scenes by Oliva, and a selection of books by local authors, as well as some OS maps of the nearby areas.

Bampton Shop is  a newsagents, so you can pick up your daily paper here, and we also have a small selection of magazines on offer. There is also a part-time Community Post Office at the shop.
The shop is dog friendly – in fact, chances are you'll be greeted by Bert, our new head of security, when you come in. If you happen to have a dog biscuit in your pocket, he'll be very pleased to see you!

It is very important to us that we stock local goods and produce, so if  you are a local company or producer with products that you think might be of interest to our customers, please don't hesitate to get in touch – we'd love to talk to you.
