tariff and terms & conditions

Our rooms cost £45 per person per night; single occupancy is £50. For children up to 12, it's £20 per night. There is a small charge for a dog – please see below. This price includes a full English breakfast. Please can you advise us in advance of any special dietary requirements.
Check in time is from 4.30pm; please call to let us know approximately what time you will be arriving, so we can aim to be here to greet you. If we are not here, information on where to find your room and keys will be posted on the front door of the shop. Check out is by 10.00am. (If you require an earlier or a late check in, or a later check out, please let us know and we may be able to arrange this for you.)
A deposit of half the full amount is required on booking, when we can give you details to arrange a bank transfer, or you can send a cheque. This will be refundable up to one month before the booking date, minus a £10 admin fee.

Important information for Coast to Coast walkers
Guests doing the C2C, and other walkers without transport, should note that the only option for an evening meal within walking distance (about 10 minutes) of Bampton Shop & Tea Room is the Crown & Mitre in Bampton Grange, and this MUST be booked WELL in advance. It is not unusual for the pub to close if there are no pre-bookings or, conversely, to be fully booked, in which case they have to turn people away. The only other option for those without transport is to organise a taxi to Askham where there are two pubs, The Queen's Head (01931 712225) and The Punchbowl. There is a taxi service from Bampton, which can be contacted on 01931 713226. Please note that there is no mobile phone reception, on any network, anywhere in the village.

We welcome well-behaved dogs with well-trained owners in our Patio Room, and in the shop and tea room. After all, there's some great walking in the area, and we wouldn't want dog owners not to be able to bring their four-legged companions to enjoy it with them. However, there are obvious challenges to cleaning and making rooms fresh for the next guests, so we ask for a small payment of £5 for your stay (not per night). We ask that dogs be kept off the beds and other furniture. We can provide dog towels and bowls for use during your stay.
